Chaplain of the Constitution Party of Illinois: George Washington knew better than anyone that we were not going to win the war for independence on our own. Therefore, his very first general order to the new army was to commission Chaplains. He knew we would need God’s favor in the conflict in order to win it. “It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the Providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor.” - George Washington, October 3, 1789
Awakening America: ". . . we invite followers of Christ in every corner of our land, of every race and denominational background, to unite in common pursuits to see God glorified, His Church revived and our nation transformed by an awakening to the Supremacy of our Lord Jesus Christ."
