The Quest!
Will you take the challenge?
Will you give God 15 to 30 minutes of your day to read, study, and meditate on His Word?
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2)

Read the New Testament in a year! For 2008 I plan to slow things down and incorporate more time for reflection, prayer, meditation, and study.
We will be doing a New Testament in a Year reading plan. Readings will be Monday through Friday with weekends open for reflection, prayer, meditation, and study.
The first reading of the 2008 challenge will be Monday April 6 (posted on Friday April 4), and will end with a final reading on April 7, 2009, less than a week before Easter 2009. But jump in at any time!
Youth in Iran suffer for the Gospel, would you?"A teenage girl. . . recently learned about Christ and converted to Christianity. Her father. . . held a knife to her and made her recite Muslim prayers. . . This young Christian girl also managed to acquire a Gospel. In fear for her life, she knew she had to hide it from her parents, but wanted to read the Scriptures nevertheless. She carefully tore out each page and hid them in her clothing. When she was alone, she would take the pages out and read them over and over. [When caught, her father] beat his daughter mercilessly. . ."

Elrond then looked Aragorn directly in the eye and said, 'Put aside the ranger. . . become the man you were born to be.'"My challenge to you today is to put aside the role you've grown accustomed to and to which you have become resigned. Put it aside. Become the man you were born to be. Rally your previous failures, mistakes, and embarrassments in battle to overcome the forces that want to suppress the power of your spiritual nature and render you a mere (st)ranger roaming the earth alone and unsure of his place.
This is a quest you don't choose; it has already chosen you. You can discount it or ignore it, but you have no other means to quiet the restlessness, isolation, or futility in your life."

The Romans 15:4 Project Bible Knights!
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
